Adult Bible Study:
Adult Bible study is held after each Sunday morning service. It is usually led by Pastor Bernau, but there may occasionally be guest teachers. All members are welcome to join and encouraged to suggest ideas for future Bible studies. We hope to see you there!
Ladies Bible Study
Ladies Bible study is held on Tuesday or Wednesday nights.
A MOPS-style Bible study is held Friday mornings at 8:15 on school days. Babies and toddlers are welcome!
Adult Confirmation Classes:
For adults from a non-Lutheran background who wish to become members, a 10 to 12 week period of instruction is required. Those can be done individually or with a small group. Call Pastor to schedule those meetings.
Church Greeters:
Individuals, couples, and families are invited to volunteer by signing up to greet members and guests each Sunday and holiday. Watch the Sunday bulletin and listen for announcements for sign-up.
Altar Service:
Open to all members of the congregation (individuals or couples: husband and wife, mother and daughter, sisters, friends). Altar service includes caring for the flowers, linens, dusting of Chancel appointments, changing paraments by the liturgical calendar, and cleaning communion ware. Two people serve each month.
Funeral Lunch Committee:
All adult ladies of Immanuel are assigned to a Funeral Committee which serves lunch after funerals at Immanuel. There are four groups which rotate these duties. Usually each group serves about once per year.
